I am Ashwini Angarkhe from Pune, Maharashtra, India. I am an Exercise Coach, Dietitian, and Dance Fitness Instructor, proudly working in the fitness industry since 2007. My journey blends two passions that define me—fitness and the mountains.

My love for trekking began during my college days, leading me across numerous trails in the Sahyadri ranges, including Maharashtra's highest peak, Kalsubai. But the Himalayas always held a special place in my heart, especially my dream of trekking to Everest Base Camp and visiting Mt. Kailash.

In May 2025, I attempted the Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek for the first time. Due to mountain sickness, I had to return from Gorakshep, just before reaching my final destination. While it was a setback, it became my strongest motivation. I promised myself that I would return—stronger, better prepared, and as a trek leader, guiding others toward their Himalayan dreams.

To celebrate my culture and add a unique challenge, I chose to complete my next EBC trek in a traditional Maharashtrian saree.

In October 2025, I fulfilled that promise. From 25th October to 3rd November 2025, I successfully completed the Everest Base Camp trek in collaboration with Sherpa Holic Trek & Expedition.

The Sherpa Holic team played a crucial role in this journey.

Hi, my name is Pemba Gelzen Tamang. I am a trekking guide. I went through many struggles because I started my journey as a porter.

My trekking experience has been one of the most unforgettable journeys of my life. From the moment I started walking along the narrow mountain trails, I felt a deep connection with nature. The fresh air, the sound of rivers flowing below, and the peaceful silence of the forests made every step feel meaningful. Even though the paths were sometimes steep and challenging, the beauty around me gave me the strength to keep going.

As I moved higher, the views became more breathtaking. Snow-covered peaks, green hills, and small villages along the way showed me a simple and beautiful way of life. Meeting local people and fellow trekkers added warmth to the journey, and sharing smiles and stories made the trek even more special. Every sunrise and sunset in the mountains felt magical.

The trek was not only a physical challenge but also a mental one. It taught me patience, determination, and the importance of enjoying the present moment. By the end of the trek, I felt proud, peaceful, and refreshed. This trekking experience helped me discover my inner strength and left me with memories I will carry forever.

Pasang Sherpa is originally from Okhaldhunga District and is currently living in the Everest region of Lukla. At a very young age, I started my career as a porter and worked for three years at high elevations. Following my passion for trekking and mountaineering, I completed my training and obtained my trekking guide license from the Ministry of Tourism, Nepal. I have good knowledge of the local culture, the mountains, and many other aspects of the Himalayas. I am really glad to be a part of Sherpa Holic Trek & Expedition, which has created this opportunity for me.

Pasang Sherpa is widely respected for his deep mountain knowledge, strong leadership, and commitment to safety. He has successfully guided trekkers across many of Nepal’s most iconic trekking routes, always prioritizing responsible tourism and client satisfaction. Dawa Wongchu Sherpa is a distinguished Nepalese mountaineer renowned for his significant contributions to high-altitude climbing. He has successfully summited the world's highest mountains, including Mount Everest, K2, Ama Dablam, Himlung Himal, and many other 8,000-meter and 7,000-meter peaks.

Dawa Wongchu Sherpa has also been instrumental in record-breaking expeditions. In May 2022, he was part of a team with Norwegian climber Kristin Harila and other team members, contributing to one of the world's most remarkable high-altitude climbing achievements.

Uppal Lama is a passionate and experienced female trekking leader from Nepal, known for her professionalism, friendly nature, and deep knowledge of the Himalayas. She is fluent in English and Nepali, and has a basic understanding of Spanish, making her a favorite among international trekkers. When she's not guiding, Uppal Lama actively participates in women empowerment initiatives and mountain clean-up campaigns, helping preserve the beauty of Nepal’s landscapes for future generations.

Anil Rai is a distinguished trekking guide in Nepal, renowned for his extensive experience and deep knowledge of the Himalayan regions. Throughout his career, Anil has led treks across various terrains, particularly in the Everest, Annapurna, and Langtang regions. His professional journey includes collaborations with companies such as Sherpa Holic Trek & Expedition.
